The Mechanism designed and developed the official iOS app for the Grammy-nominated band, My Morning Jacket.

The feature-rich and free app includes the "Jacketcam", which harnesses the smartphone camera to bridge photographic connections between fans and the band. Images rendered with the Jacketcam, are further enhanced with a band artwork-inspired overlay, creating a unique and customized photograph. My Morning Jacket is also a charitable band, and a large part of the thinking behind the design was to include a prominent means for the band to encourage fans to donate. Also a title of a song by the band, The “Good Intentions” feature enables fans to learn about and donate to non-profit organizations supported by the band and easily make donations.

The App to date, has the highest possible rating in the Apple App Store.
