Background
New York Artist/Activist/Retailer SSUR approached theMechanism about the concept of a CD-ROM clothing tag.
Solution
The tag would allow his clothing line, Ssurplus to capture email addresses of people who bought his clothing in various New York City clothing outlets and in return would allow access to secret content embedded within the CD-ROM tag attached to his clothing line. The timing of a “revolutionist” concept so close to Sept 11 seemed a bit concerning and eventually, despite the incredible flash work produced for this project by Russell Warner, it was scrapped. A good idea, nonetheless, so all you retailers...give us a call.
