Background

Paul and New Life Crisis came to theMechanism four years ago with 26 songs they wanted to sell online to their fans. After being signed by Tommy Boy Records and receiving international radio play for their hit “Daylight,” New Life Crisis found themselves without a label when Tommy Boy was bought by another company. theMechanism set up the 26 songs as downloadable, low-cost MP3’s on their website, each with a unique cover (downloaded as a .pdf file) featuring original artwork and lyrics. (Considering this was in 2001, theMechanism was a bit ahead of its time.)

Solution

theMechanism listened to the band's recordings and developed a logo that suited the both the band and their audience in the most effective and engaging manner.
