theMechanism was contacted by Media Corporation, PLC. to redesign and redevelop OnTheBox.com, which provides electronic programme guide listings of all UK TV channel programmes up to two weeks ahead. Various advertising opportunities are available including sponsorship of themed shows and channels.
Solution
The redevelopment and redesign of OnTheBox.com included a complete AJAX-enabled login and user account system, database-driven programme listings and online identity development. Within 2 months after launch, OnTheBox.com saw over 2000 unique registered users, over 1 Million unique visitors and 4 Million + pageviews per month.
Advertising revenues also increased from circa £1,500 to over £25,000 per month: the most successful online relaunch in Media Corporation PLC’s history.
