NYCVotes is a open-source web-app that consists of two distinct parts: a voter information/contribution tool, and a tool for candidates to submit their contributions compliantly to the Campaign Finance Board. Along with a complete design and interface overhaul, bringing the simple "mobile-only" solution to a fully responsive solution, The Mechanism designed and deployed the system by which candidates could easily submit their contribution data via a secure API. This vastly simplified the existing paper-only method of reporting to the Campaign Finance Board in New York City.
